outfits: a little country music

well, here are some photos of voss and i when we listened to a little country music over at easy street on record store day. yeah you read that right COUNTRY MUSIC.  what started as boredom of my out dated ipod selection and sick of the same 5 songs on my usual listening station, country music started growing on me.  

if you're not familiar with country music stars (i'lll assume you're not) getting to see dierks bentely play in a small venue for free was pretty darn exciting.  apparently he's pals with mike mccready, who decided to make an appearance and play a few songs with him.  they even did a cover of just breathe.  (*just did a quick interweb search and found a video of it here.  success!)

recent happenings: no. 6

 

 remember when you were little and your parents used to tell you time went by faster the older you get; well they weren't lying.  march went by in a flash.  another trip to the mountains, celebrating a few birthdays including the boyf's, me and the nightmare girls selling at a new market.  all that and trying to squeeze in some much needed love with george and some downtime watching new girl.  which i'm officially OBSESSED with.

champagne and hot dogs

the boyf and i have lived in the same place for over a year now but have never hosted a proper bbq on our roof top deck.  last summer was one of the dreariest we've had in a while so our goal is to make up for it this summer.  it doesn't feel 100% like summer in seattle until the fourth.  so last weekend seemed like the perfect time to have some pals over for "b-raq's world famous hot dogs".

i whipped up some champagne drinks for voss and alex, that to be honest looked way fancier than they actually were.  it was just champagne and italian blood orange soda.  but when my neighbors were ooohhing and ahhhing i may have fibbed to make me look cool. ;)

did you get a free slurpee yesterday?  i didn't, so sad.
